Beer guys (and I'm assuming, girls) are generous people. I've been the recipient of a few acts of kindness from people, simply because we share a common interest in beer. One guy sent me beer just because I said it sounded awesome (Boulevard Seeyoulator, it is AWESOME!), and another left beer on my doorstep because he knew it was my birthday. I do my best to pass along the kindness that's been shared with me, it's the very least I can do. Not kidding, one of the few people I’ve met in person was named Scott. Seriously ... It was SUPER cool to meet Mike after months of website / e-mail correspondence. This was the first time I have met an internet friend in person, but for some reason, I wasn't apprehensive about the meeting. Probably because Mike has been a mentor to me in my transition to excellent beer and a super supporter of our site. (Although I am sure my occasional macro-beer reviews probably drive him to drink ... ) Mike: A big "thank you" to you and Andrea for the hospitality yesterday. It was like meeting old friends. He rund a wine and beer store in Pullman, WA. He got me some Dogfish Head, the Rye IPA from He'Brew, and the trio of specialty brews from Deschutes, XXI, Mirror Mirror, and the Abyss, Plus a couple other things I can't find in Idaho. So yes it is very cool to meet up with fellow beer and whiskey lovers whom you meet over the internet. I know Jim has met Peter from Simply Beer, and I think he has some similar thoughts.
