We love beer, we thank heaven. Begrudgingly, we admit we are not the authority on all things "beer," but we know our fair share. Enjoy the good brew with us; correct us where we're wrong.

Thanks for sharing the Lost Abbey experience that you had, too. To me, the real trick to pre-sell online like Three Floyds did last year. I showed up knowing that I was getting Dark Lord, so I wasn't worried about it.

Thank Sean. I think you are right about this. Better to relax and have a good beer than to be stressed and angry.

Thanks for the rant. I did not attend the Black Tuesday (for one, it is more bourbon than beer) mostly because of a bad experience at Lost Abbey. I spent more time standing in line(s) then I did enjoying beer all because of Duck,Duck. And even though The Bruery is more organized, I knew the crowd would cause problems. I will grant that it is the first year for the Bruery crew but they really should of known the crush of people that was going to be there. They saw how long a wait there was for their 1st anniversary party and Papier wasn't nearly as overhyped as Black Tuesday was (and is). I will stick with Two Turtle Doves and Rugbrod on a lazy Sunday instead.

Agreed about making more. Like I said, they had already made it before the popularity. It's hard to stand up when they are way up there and you are not sure if they were there before. We have to count on those people to do what they ought. I always speak up...not a shy fellow. I think it's the attitude they have more than anything. I hope they make more later. Who knows.

The easiest answer is for them to make more next time. If they run out again then the next time make even more. Since many people loved this brew at the GABF this year I think the hype went way up for this brew. I loved it at the GABF. I wasn't at this event but who would have expected that kind of turn out?

Sure, cutting in line is something both elementary school kids do as well as adults. The people in line simply need to speak up and insist line cutters go to the back on the line. I heard a lot of people yell at line cutters for popular breweries at the GABF. Stand up for yourselves else you might lose out.

I'm sure one thing they will do is increase the yield. The real problem is that the few bad apples ruin stuff and people end up complaining about the brewery itself, which really is unfair.

I hear ya. The whole 'few bad apples' concept. Like you said, they'll probably do better next go-round. Maybe they can sell tickets online somehow to limit the numbers? You know, like the wristband system they use for sporting events?
