Frequently, we post on our blogs about our favorite beers of the week, months, or years. I love finding out what people really love and have had to drink. But the nostalgia of this type of writing makes me anxious to create new possibilities for favorite beers, which is why I like that people post on their sites what new beers are coming out. The only problem that I have is that these updates can be sporadic and individual. It’s hard to find a comprehensive list of upcoming beers. I want us to create a new list with all you folks to help make it happen. I want to make this post a place where people can deposit names of beers that are coming out, and we can compile a list that is helpful for people.
I’m not simply interested in the new, emerging beers, I want to get my hands on certain seasonal brews also. So, don’t hesitate to add seasonals. I started this post with the goal of asking everybody a question and realized that we could do this and list new beers and seasonals. What was the question?… What beers are you looking forward to? I don’t think we ask that question enough. So, here is how we can do this. If you know of a beer coming out (and the tentative release date) to which you are looking forward, let us know on this post…I want to know what to look for, too.
I’m looking forward to Avery’s second barrel aged beer called Sui Generis. I really need to find a contact who can get some for me. Apparently, it’s only going to be sold at their tap room on September 23. Their first was terrific, and I sure would like to try this one…dream big. I’m looking forward to the Dogfish and Sierra Nevada collaboration. They made a beer called “Life and Limb” and a small beer version called “Limb and Life.” Bottles will come through Sierra Nevada distribution and should be around October. I’m looking forward to seeing Stone’s Vertical Epic of 2009, which is brewed on 09-09-09. Deschutes will put The Abyss out in November. I really really really want to get my hands on Samuel Smith’s barrel aged beers and their Yorkshire Stingo. This will also be a tough one.
These are a few, and I don’t want to hog them all, but I will be back with a ton more. What are you looking forward to trying? Let’s turn this scattered information into a nice list.

I too am looking forward to most of those, I don’t get Deshutes down here. I am also looking forward to the new Great Divide brews as well.

What are the new ones from Great Divide? When will we see them?

I’m looking forward to the new Allagash sour/wild beers (if the release them). Trying this years crop of fresh hop beers (Sierra Nevada, Great Divide). Would love to experience the hype of Dark Lord.
I guess what I’m looking forward to the most is trying some new styles and new beers.
Some on my Immediate radar:
Panil Bariquee
Nøgne-Ø Dark Horizon
Avery the Reverend
Victory Storm King
Grand Cru of the Emperor
So many… so little money

@Simply Beer: I too am anxious about the Allagash Sours…once I get some extra cash I am going to have to do some bartering. I had the storm king…it was good. Can you not get it in PA? “So many… so little money” tis true!
@Mike. Thanks for the links…both look good.

I was going to add Black Butte XXI, Mirror Mirror, and Red Chair IPA by Deschutes but I’ve gotten them now. @Simply beer, I really need to try some Allagash stuff. Nogne also makes good stuff. You have to make it down for Dark Lord Day…it’s so fun and the beer is actually worth the hype.
Keep the beers coming guys.

Here here on the Deschutes brews… in fact, had the Mirror Mirror this weekend in conjunction with the Mirror Pond. Wow… what a difference. I love barley wine, but I can only do so much at a time.
Those looking to get some seasonals from Deschutes, I recommend Hop Trip from them as well… brewed with fresh hops, just hours after they have been picked. De-lish.

Forgot to add… I’m looking forward to trying “Triple Bastard.” No, this isn’t a new brew from Stone. It’s an experimental beer from the Riverside Delta Boys (aka me and my buddies).
This beer was born of excess and a carefree attitude. We were brewing three, 10-gallon batches: an amber, a black IPA, and a knock-off of Sierra Nevada’s Celebration Ale. We had excess wort for our fermenters, and therefore put that excess in the last remaining fermenter. Three times the recipes, none of the arrogance.
It may turn out to be putrid. It may turn out to be excellent. We’ll know in about a month.
At the end of the day, it’s a bonus… we were expecting 30 gallons and we had 35. Could it be a miracle?

I’d try that triple bastard.
