I was there only to try Supplication on tap. I really dig the Blind Pig and Elder and I think their renown is justified so I just can't see waiting for something that can only be marginally better than those two. That's just me though. There was one guy at the bar who grabbed a stool as soon as the place opened and had gotten the barkeep to promise him the first glass. I think the first night the nostalgia or wonder is still there while the second it isn't. One thing is for sure, it's not the best beer in the world as some would say. It is hopped 4 or 5 times and the flavor isn't as complex as Abyss or Old Rasputin. . but that isn't what the beer is brewed to do for the taster. I agree that the allure of the beer is that it is seasonal and hard to find-- but it was a gorgeous (and HUGE) beer.
