Sip with us Saturday: Anything Jolly Pumpkin

I know that some among us can’t get Jolly Pumpkin’s stuff. I live in Cali, and Jolly Pumpkin is in Michigan, so I’ve never really seen anything from them…except recently. I’m curious to try their products and find out about the brewery, which means I thought this would be a good format. Any of you who can find a Jolly Pumpkin beer could pick one up, drink it, and tell us about it. I figure that you’ll have a better chance finding some Jolly Pumpkin beer rather than a specific one. I’ve got two options, so I’m going to pick one and review it.
Sip with us Saturday and tell us all about how jolly this beer made you.

I’ve only been able to get my hands on 3 of their products and I enjoyed all of them. If you like sours I think you will like them.

The Madruga Obscura sounds good … “a Belgian inspired stout that is as dark as a moonless midnight, brimming of roasted malts and bitter hops.”
I’ll see if I can find some …

That’s sounds wonderful. I’ve only seen a couple things, so it’s a little scarce, which I imagine is the case for a lot of people.

I got nothin. The closest I can get to a Jolly Pumpkin is tickling a gourd around here!

Hey Jim…Liquor Outlet carries a few Jolly Pumpkin ales. I had the Bam Noire yesterday (sorry, didn’t see this post until today). Its definitely not my taste for beer – too sour and pungent. I’ve never had a Saison before and not knowing what to expect I kept an open mind. It was the first beer I’ve ever been tempted to pour down the drain.
