Sip with us Saturday: Lindeman’s Curvee Rene

This Sip with us Saturday was inspired by a sour that I made. Scott from Manland flew down and brought me some Life & Limb. When he brought some beer, I gave him some of my homebrew. One of those homebrews was a sour rye. Nice and puckery with a lovely spice. At any rate, his brother, never having had a sour, tried mine. Apparently, he was in love. In fact, it caused him to go out and buy quite a few sours. He asked me for some recommendations and suggested that we drink one of them, Curvee Rene, as our Saturday beer. Who am I to deny this request?
Many of us know about Lindeman’s Framboise. It may have even been our first shot at a lambic. Well, this beer is nothing like it. No fruit is added, and it is a blend of a young and older lambic called Gueuze. At any rate, this is different experience from Lindeman’s other products. Expect some strange and wonderful sensations. By the way, I would also like to mention that this is Rene’s favorite beer that he brews. I think it’s mine, too.

Excellent sour. My brother and I enjoyed it so much that we went out today and bought another bottle!

It’s pretty good. The review will be up soon. It’s been a long time since I had it.
