We love beer, we thank heaven. Begrudgingly, we admit we are not the authority on all things "beer," but we know our fair share. Enjoy the good brew with us; correct us where we're wrong.

@Jim. I think that's a good idea. As it is, the deodorant smells citrusy.
@Tex. I wonder is the one in Cloverdale uses them?
@Scott. I'm sure it does contribute to hop usage. I do wonder, however, if they are using male or female. One of them is not very useful for brewing, so I'm fine with the male flowers being used. If they use the female flowers...well, that's another story. Save them for the beer.

@LP. Thanks for the profound contribution to our site. Your statement is far more original than the uses for these hops. Oh! And I think we spell it Bollix or bollocks. I will give you some credit for using the word auld. However, it's not old to everyone here. Also, I'm not sure your use of old English makes what you say any more credible. I mean, Chaucer doesn't get to the site much.

I think a good cheese with the outer crust soaked in hop trub would be an interesting use. Hop perfume...I might cheat with that woman.

I always tell my brewing buddies that they should make women's perfume from hops... I'm thinking Amarillos here.

It would be awesome if you could choose what kind of hops were in your deodorant. This way, you could smell of Cascade one day, Centennial the next. I'd go all Saaz all Oktober long, that's for sure!

Overall, I'm with Scott. Save the hops for the beer, people!

Very interesting. I wonder if the use of hops in products you mentioned contribute to hop shortages. If more natural products use them as an ingredient, does that mean sometimes less for beer?
