Domestic Sour Ales | Sip With Us Saturday

For all those who have subscribed to Thank Heaven for Beer (Thanks!), you may be unfamiliar with “Sip With Us Saturday.” The concept is that we (or you, via emailing us) choose a beer of the week (usually posted on Thursday) and You, Mike, and Myself all drink the same beer on Saturday. Besides being able to come back on banter back on forth on the qualities of said beer, we hope this adds a community feel to our humble little site.
With around 80 subscribers, we hope a few of you actually participate.
Thus said, instead of choosing one beer for this coming Saturday, we are going to choose one style. The reason for this anomalous altercation of routine is because, having recently written on domestic (made in the US, or for guys like Bob the Brit, the UK) sour ales, we wanted to choose just that as the beer of the week: A domestic sour.
Alas, when it comes to selection, domestic sours, still an emerging beer style in the US, is limited. So, please choose ANY domestic sour ale as the Sip With Us Saturday beer. Come back and share your selection and thoughts either in the comments section of the Sour Ale I will be reviewing (I’m trying to get my hands on Jolly Pumkin’s Perseguidor), OR create your own review, email it to me, and I will post it as an individual post and link back to your site.
I hope this unique Saturday will open the door for many folks to try a delightfully delicious new beer! You don’t want to miss out…as the picture above suggests, even Storm Troopers will be getting in on the Sip With Us Saturday action!
Cheers!
